“Fall-Flavored” Morning Mocha Shake

Think about it. Its a grudgy monday morning… and you slept in. The last thing you have time for is to spend an enormous amount of effort in the kitchen making some extravagant omelette or crepes a la neige. 

Well this little shake is super high in protein and has lots of fruit in it. Plus it has coffee for your morning kick. 😉 If you don’t have chocolate protein powder, simply use unsweetened baking cocoa, preferably all natural. ^^ It won’t have the same protein content, but it will still be extremely delicious. (I would take this over a frappuccino at Starbucks any day!) 

Ingredients:

1/2 Frozen banana

1 small apple

6 oz milk of choice

1-2 tbs of instant coffee (or however much you need!)

1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (or baking cocoa)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pumpkin pie spice seasoning or cinnamon.

(To make pumpkin pie spice, combine cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice. ^^)

1. Chop the apple into small pieces; removing the core.

P.S. Did you know that adding apples in smoothies helps make it deliciously frothy and wonderful? ^^

2. Put the milk first in the blender. Blend in the chopped apples and banana.

3. Add in the protein powder, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and coffee.

4. Down this bad boy. Its delicious and smells amazing, I promise.
